:: Average 28, Gusts at 38...Count me in!
I said it many times before...I like it rough!
So once again I teamed up with Claude to rip the channel before the ebb leaves us with not enough water to ride back through the sand bars. The two kite-windsurfers of us were amongst the only 4 windsurfers at a time to play outside in very tough conditions. Claude did great again surfing big swells very powered with his 4.0 but I had to show off with a huge surf one hand looking back at him to make my point...World champion as he would say!
To me, it was only qualification time...because tomorrow looks like the real race...

Here, coming in over-powered at very low tide, but with a big smile on my face...

:: Ebbing or flooding...If it is big and strong, I am there!
Average 26, gusts at 30, fat glassy swells on the outside, steep ramps on the inside...
I was surfing the channel along with Marc (having a lot of fun but each time loosing precious ground thanks to the strong flood) and was wondering...Once again where are the windsurfers? If you miss a day like this...What's the point? Or you have to give me a very good reason...
Man! Strong wind, crazy chops, fat swells...That's all about windsurfing!
Or go buy a kite! (BTW I have two Hydra 2006 9 and 12 to sell

:: Hiding from the paparazzi...

Enough to be captured on film each time that I am doing something at 3rd Ave !!! (see http://www.blogkite.com/claude/archive/2007/04/08/hn1esgwlgjqr.htm#comments?slsid)
So this time I was trying to hide from the paparazzi so my kitesurfers friends wouldn't be disappointed seeing me back on my windsurfer...
Or maybe I simply bailed a Clew First Vulcan attempt !
Anyway nice shot from Maureen of TeamCoyote

:: It felt so good to be back in red...
No I am not talking about political colors...It was just the first time since last September that I was windsurfing...And with my brand new red gear, especially my new Neilpryde Combat 4.5. With an average of 30 knots and huge fat swells, I had a blast...Next clearing wind: count me in!
As seen here on the left side escorting my friend LouisBordeur after he broke his boom to make sure he makes it OK to the shore...
A shot with my Treo after this awesome session...

:: Palo Alto rocks!!!
When the wind is South West and sucks almost everywhere in the bay, Palo Alto is always there! Once again, the wind came strong on saturday afternoon and the tide sent some nice swells in the little channel...I really love P.A.!
