Hawaii’s on fire
Relax just another spectacular sunset
Aloha
The Sign
Saturday morning at the Delta "The Sign":
the usual suspects were still praying for "mo wind"
Picture taken before the gust
Don’t look upwind, it’s too scary, BTW I was on 3.7
The Rio Vista Windsurfing Association does a great job maintaining the sites
with bags going way under the water, very useful coming back, climbing up fighting the strong current.
I could see a new road sign coming: Careful windsurfer crossing
When I saw that green Dodge
at us.
Peter Johnson
We will miss you Peter.
But your spirit will always inspire us wherever we sail; would it be Oyster Point, Tiger, Palo Alto, 3rd Ave or even skiing Squaw Valley.
Back in the days,
they were still sailing around the marker 8a
that is paradise
No, my sponsor is not Italian....
........although I like AS Roma's sponsor: WIND
on a same note I present you Sofia with her italian robe, my new ‘Hull", a high wind dance partner
I have already danced with the stars....
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,she's fearless
Thank you Steve,
Too busy sailing to write....
It a good thing.
On the picture after a decent swell session on this old 4.5 Gaastra (can't wait to try the new one!), I was chased by Mike on much newer gear from most of the way back. I was not going to disappoint that seasoned JP 255 that was used to shine under Swiss Steve
I pointed my toes and went on overdrive. Here I am putting on the brakes.
Shopping for a new hull
I wanted to carry more sail,
so I looked at bigger hulls,
I like the pirate look of that one fitting my filibustered spirit
and it had a figure head
that I could name like Lolita
That one had way to much fin
I might settle on this racy one

Last weekend early trip to the Delta where Jerry was a very early bird....
who found his worm
and all kinds of flying animals
The Legend and Naish
That was my setup 4.7, 75L Pro Wave
and it was very sweet at Sugar Cove.
A small wind shadow,
but nice swells outside. I don't know about those Maui sails Legends, they attack them. Last time it was Antoine Albeau that I met coming out of the water, this time, it was the Legend himself
that I walked with.
Later on Jerry, a legend of a different type came up the path
.
Here he puts on the brakes
after tiring up the outside
