I can carve??
……skiing, snowboarding, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and even a pumpkin.
Happy Halloween.
Dialed In
Fun session in the flood. Even better after a touch and go start where it did not look promising.
It got to be powered and I got to be watched closely by my mentor witnessing my progresses.
Almost together in this picture.

Seeing RED !
Not able to spin with the kite, I went for one on the race course.
Recently retired Schumacher had parked his F1 in front my house. Really…
Almost...he was not him but his car.
North vs. South
I’ll take the North wind anytime. Good session at 3rd yesterday at a very acute 280 bearing. It was so northerly that we kited parallel to the driving range like the plane landing at SFO.

It was odd at first but a much easier launch that those dying SW shifts.
I was on my old 11m shown below. I like those colors

Winning colors ;-)
Very satisfying session at 3rd
Although…….for a good 10 minutes schlogging on 5.5 next to Brian the pilot in tight formation, I was thinking “What am I doing, I should be kiting” !!
By Midway, I engaged the hostilities first, pumping like mad heading Bridge. Once in the Channel, the afterburner kicked in (big tide) and I disengaged the ATF (automatic terrain follower?) to get more air on the bumps. Then forget about the flight plan, I went to play on the swells. I landed short of the runway (a small schlogg) as the shut down came quick but was predictable.
Eugenia joined the formation at some point.
Big smiles all around while debriefing.
World Champion
Alonso…you’ve just won your second World Champion title in a row, what are you going to do next?

I’m gonna go kitesurfing!!

Sweet Sixteen or Final Four ?

Closing shop late on the 16m with 3 other kiters.
Tip toeing on toe side
A big thank to Ford for walking up the path to launch me and Randy barefoot landing me.
Now playing at Shoreline……
I don’t really know, but it sure looks like the Blues Brothers were rehearsing at 3rd!
Or is it a dance to stop the wind for going south ~!~

First I got mad …..
Then really mad,
as I witnessed my kite dropping from the sky despite violent motions to keep it flying.
5 minutes ago it was windy, did it turn south again!!
And finally I counted my blessing not only it was a very short swim in high tide, but Fred was walking by and helped me climb the rocks saving the kite from severe cuts. Of course the lecture was nowhere short, but you’ve got to pay the price.
So I suffered through it and I felt better and better seeing some poor souls swimming downwind. It could have been me if I had more skills
Bigger than Phil !!!!
Would you believe that Phil was on a 10 and me on 11
He was not wearing a wetsuit either, like on this glorious day back home.
He really enjoys
I also enjoyed my day being lifted above the 'incoming escalators'
